As of Sunday May 29th 2005, the Burning Man phenomenon coined ?Burners? as a sub-culture erupted in flames and became a beacon fire, lighting up the world. Sunday May 29th 2005 the San Francisco Chronicle ran a front page main story with splash photo called 'Spreading The Flames' which is a pro Burning Man article that elevates the Burning Man Counterculture ?Burners? to a place above the summer of love and beat poets, placing them atop of the freedom movement bonfire. The article strokes the Burners flame so high that it creates a major beacon to the world with statements like: 'The retreat has evolved into a multimillion-dollar business that spans the globe; a charitable foundation that gives away hundreds of thousands of dollars'. 'These groups (regional Burning Man collectives) of free thinkers seek to reinvigorate art, education, the environment, even business ethics, in their communities'. 'In San Francisco, "Burners" have risen to positions of political power at City Hall?. Statements like this in a major newspaper especially on the front page will have far reaching ramifications and will create both amazing avenues for social change and also bring many counter productive warmongers and scammers wanting a piece of the pie not to mention the extreme wing of freedom haters that will look to slander and ridicule the ?Burner? movement. Thus if we right now focus on strengthening our unified visions and build solid networks between our communities we will be able to keep this wonderful counterculture catalyst an agent of free willed creativity and dynamic social transformation.

The unified vision of the Burners is an important element that should have a fully recognized foundation and be clearly stated so that creates a beacon of integrity lighting up the hearts and minds of the world instead of falling into ambiguity and shadowy misinterpretation causing more confusion in this culture already beset with constant misinformation. The Burners message as it spreads across the culture will need to stand up against the constant barrage of the modern medias manipulation for mass consumption, catering to the lowest common denominator diluting anything it touches until it is a hollow shell of its former vision. If we do not promote our own visions, the media will and now that the cat is out of the bag with a major media newspaper article the media mongers will be swooping in as we speak. We have a momentary advantage with this Newspaper article being such a positive and promotional presentation that I suggest we utilize this to our advantage by adopting the stated Burners vision in the article as our base foundation. The articles stated visions are actually perfect beginning foundations to build on and quit succinctly state a basic tenant of most of the Burners beliefs. The article states the Burners vision as ?Burning man preaches several tenants: Anybody can be an artist. Creativity and spontaneity should be part of one's everyday routine. Watching out for others is more important than getting ahead. And if people work together, the world can be a better place?. The article also states the Burners principles as 'These groups (regional Burning Man collectives) of free thinkers seek to reinvigorate art, education, the environment, even business ethics, in their communities'. And lastly for a spiritual view the article states: ?And most important, a year round counterculture movement with a spiritual quest to keep the Burning Man experience alive every day?. Thus we have a basic philosophy, principles and spiritual quest which fits nicely as a foundation to work from and unify our many other visions and unique intentions that we can all if we pull together easily manifest.

The first step I offer is the creation of a tribe on tribe.net called the Burners Alliance to create a beginning network and communication roundtable to discuss the ramifications and possibilities of the Burners movement and also be a guiding council for the many new burners who will inevitable be flooding in after this article really hits the collective consciousness of at least the bay area if not the country itself. Thus, Burners ALLiance called the BALL is a tribe created to unify all the Burner Collectives and create a network council to connect and guide the many directions that this new Counterculture will create. It will be a moderated tribe at first to keep it focused and make sure those who join at least have enough intent in action to write a request to join instead of just clicking and lurking or worst trolling and causing confusion or dissension. If the Burner Alliance decides, it is better made open then we will open its doors but until then it will be mildly moderated only really requiring someone to show the effort of asking to join to get in. So I call to all you Burners of the new counterculture movement being those who have gone to Burning man or not but who still follow the basic tenants stated above to come and contribute to this important network and connection of Burner tribes as a All Tribe under the many flags or compatible autonomous solidarity.
